Cori Dorfmeier

2025 Keynote Speaker

Cori Dorfmeier is currently Director of Sample Management within the Regulated Bioanalytics group at Merck overseeing clinical sample management at the West Point, Spring House, and Schwabenheim sites.

Cori received a BS in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University and a MS in Microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University. During her graduate research, Cori developed an expertise in flow cytometry to evaluate immune responses to rabies vaccines. She continued to develop her flow cytometry skills working on CAR-T cells at UPenn’s Translational Research Center before joining Merck in 2015. Cori started her first five years at Merck in the Biomarkers, Automation & Engineering group in the Infectious Diseases and Vaccines Early Discovery department. At the start of the pandemic, Cori transferred to the Regulated Bioanalytics group to lead the development of the PCR assays for Merck’s two COVID vaccine clinical candidates. After the pandemic, she took on the role of Capital Project Team Lead (CPTL) to oversee the building of a new facility at Spring House Innovation Park before assuming the Director role of Sample Management.

In her spare time, Cori loves to garden, work on DIY projects around her house, and spend time with her dog, cats, chickens, ducks, and koi fish!
